![]() ![]() ![]() Many years passed, and the trail to the treasure went cold, and the tale of a treasure so great no one man could posses it faded into a legend of the seas. In an effort to return peace to the seas, the three pirate lords hid the secrets of the treasure in a place no pirate could ever hope to find it: Shipwreck Cove. Three Pirate Lords escaped the melee, and took the secrets of the treasure with them. The Pirate Lords called for a vote to select a Pirate King, and when each Lord voted for himself, war broke out. It had long been rumored that a treasure so big, no one man could possess it had been found, and the pirate tribes each felt they had a claim to it. This game was completely family-friendly and a lot of fun to play.Īt the third gathering of the nine Pirate Lords, chaos erupted among the tribes. For me, this was right up there with Lost Pyramid both in terms of visuals and overall gameplay. One niggle was that there was in-room audio which did not translate well via Zoom but this is a common problem with all remote rooms that feature it but the Avatar was able to relay any pertinent information that we needed. The inventory worked by the avatar giving you codes to enter and items were revealed, this helped for some items that didn’t show up well on the video feed. Video/Audio was done via Zoom and was stable throughout, there was an inventory system but this was their own and worked relatively well and we were able to fully engage with the room. There was a lot of tech in the room and this all worked well. The game is linear but relatively straightforward and flows well from one puzzle to the next. The puzzles were relatively straight forward, implemented well and completely in with the theme of the room. The theming was excellent throughout, you were actually on a wooden pirate ship! Hidden sections were revealed and other clues led to the ultimate prize. The story was relatively straight forward, hidden treasure, lost ship, old curses, etc. Pirate themed rooms are a popular choice for escape rooms and I’ve certainly played a few so was more than happy to sign up for this remote room. There are a few themes that instantly attract me and pirates is one of them. ![]()
